Given that the biggest challenge in Africa is the logistics and the mobility of moving around within the country and the neighbouring landlocked countries, the trade also gets very complex. To procure commodities in farms as far as 1000 Kms away from the central warehouses at the port and to move the cargo within a specified deadline is a challenge. It is a time-consuming process and hence the transit time of each movement of goods in transit for import or exports increases, thus increasing the lead time of the trade. In such a volatile market, cutting down the lead time in logistics and the costs related to the freight is the most vital part of this business. We keep trying and thriving our best to keep up with this challenge of logistics.
Sometimes when you want to move cargos faster in order to capitalise on the lead time for the transit of the goods, you may lose on the quality of the cargo given that you need time for the produce to dry and lose its moisture, or else you could be selling infested or damaged produce. Hence, we believe in appropriate storage / transportation methods in order to make our product the best quality product in the market. We have therefore invested in conveyor belts systems for handling of our cargo. This enables us to spend lesser time in movement of the cargo but more time in storage and cleaning of the goods.
Our strategic location of our warehouse at the port enables us to quickly load all of our cargos with the hortest lead time to the port terminal for further loading with shipping lines, with the best and the fastest connectivities. We can proudly say that our consignements have had the shortest lead time in terms of transit of goods to the destination. Our volume of imports with the shipping line give us the leading edge to cut negotiate space availabilites and freight rates with the shipping lines.
